Hod Hasharon, Israel and Athens, Greece – July 29th, 2010 - SolarEdge Technologies, a provider of end-to-end Distributed Solar Power Harvesting and monitoring solutions, is expanding its activity in Greece, announcing a partnership with Enolia Solar Systems SA, a leading Greek company active in the development of PV projects, trading of PV solar equipment and design and implementation of rooftop applications in the rapidly developing PV markets of Greece, Cyprus and Bulgaria.
The SolarEdge power harvesting solution includes power optimizers, which are module-integrated power optimizers, solar inverters and a module-level PV monitoring portal. This unique solution enables production of up to 25% more energy from any PV installation, while reducing costs and complexities.
The Greek PV market is fast growing with local feed-in-tariff incentives for installation of rooftop systems and solar farms. The distributed architecture of the SolarEdge solution allows Installers and system owners of all system types to benefit from constraint-free design and optimal site-area utilization, as well as real-time module-level monitoring for improved maintenance at reduced cost. The SolarEdge solution is complete with built-in enhanced safety mechanisms, high reliability and extraordinary warranty, which all contribute to faster return on investment.
Enolia Solar Systems, which has executed large projects in Central Greece, has a current 2010 pipeline of 7.2MWp installations under development and construction in Crete, Lesvos, Rhodes, Voiotia, Larisa and Agrinio, extending to an additional 13 MWp for 2011. The company expects to sell over 1.5MWp of SolarEdge systems within the coming months.
“The SolarEdge unique solution is particularly beneficial for the Greek market” says Charilaos Mitrelias, General Director of Enolia Solar Systems, “As home owners can enjoy module-level optimization of their PV systems for maximum power production at all times, in addition to the highly efficient PV inverter and improved maintenance through the monitoring portal – all from one vendor”
“The Greek PV market offers great opportunities for both the short and long term” said Zvi Lando, VP Global Sales of SolarEdge “and we recognize Enolia, with its technical knowhow and well-established and wide network of partners and distributors, as an ideal partner to develop operations in the Greek market”.

About SolarEdge
SolarEdge provides the world's first end-to-end Distributed Solar Power Harvesting and PV Monitoring solution, allowing maximum energy production at a lower cost. The SolarEdge power optimizers are DC-DC power optimizers that perform MPPT per individual panel while monitoring performance of each panel and communicating across existing power lines. Moreover, power optimizers always maintain a fixed DC string voltage, allowing optimal efficiency of the SolarEdge solar PV inverter, which is tailor made to work with power optimizers. As a result, the SolarEdge system provides more power from any given PV system installation, eliminates design constraints, provides complete panel-level and whole-system visibility for monitoring and maintenance alerts, solves all safety hazards and provides anti-theft mechanisms, all while reducing the cost of energy. The company works with industry-leading partners to embed its active electronics directly into PV panels. SolarEdge is online at http://www.solaredge.com/
